    We arrive at the airport of Kulusuk by scheduled plane from Reykjavik. The flight schedule is as following: Reykjavik domestic airport 10:45 - Kulusuk 10:25.....

  • Day2-6

    Umivik - Køge Bugt - Unartoq - Husryggen - Sermilik Fjord •Johan Petersen Fjord

    After sailing parallel to the magnificent coast of East Greenland we reach Umivik, where Nansen began his crossing of the Greenland ice-cap in 1888. We will follow a very short distance in his steps towards and on the Greenland ice-cap. From there we work our way in inshore waters into some fjords back to the north sailing into Køge Bugt a landscape which is similar to Antarctica......

    Tasiilaq (about 2000 inhabitants) is the centre of East Greenland, and has a museum. ....

  • Day8

    Kulusuk - Reykjavik

    From the island of Kulusuk we take the scheduled flight to Reykjavik. .....


    We sail parallel of the magnificent East Greenland coast. In Umivik we will follow for a short distance, the footsteps of Nansen, crossing of the Greenland ice-cap in 1888. We will find warm springs in Unartoq. A visit at Isortoq will show us the locals still living the traditional life. And we go to Tasiilaq where Europeans first met the Eskimo's at the end of the 19th century. The 3 mast-schooner 'Rembrandt van Rijn' is well suited for expedition cruising among the fjords of Greenland..
